International Students in the Droplet Lab This Summer
This summer, we are once again happy to welcome international students to our group!
Eren Dogus Carpar, an Erasmus student from Turkey, is working with chemical gardens. In his experiments, he investigates how both the composition of the seed and the surrounding liquid medium influence their formation and development.
We are also hosting Ziting Lu, a student from China who studies at Waseda University in Japan and joined us through the IAESTE program. Together with Radim, she has been investigating how pH affects pattern formation in ethyl salicylate droplet systems.
Although Jitka is currently on sabbatical in the United States, the Droplet Lab continues to meet regularly online. She follows the students’ progress remotely and discusses their experiments and results with them during online consultations.
