IAESTE Award for Droplet Laboratory

Our head, Assoc. Prof. Jitka Čejková, has received an official IAESTE certificate in recognition of her long-term support of international student internships and active involvement in the IAESTE exchange programme.

The award was presented during the IAESTE meeting held at UCT Prague on 24 February 2026. It acknowledges Jitka’s continuous efforts to host international trainees and to create an open, inspiring, and collaborative research environment within the Droplet Laboratory.

Over the years, our lab has welcomed many talented students from around the world through IAESTE, Erasmus, and other mobility programmes. More than ten IAESTE students alone have completed internships in our group — and many more students have contributed through Erasmus stays, diploma theses, and research projects.

We warmly remember IAESTE students

  • Hibiki Taniguchi (2025)
  • Yuen Shan Wong (2025)
  • Maja Mysłowska (2024)
  • Amandine St-Hilaire (2024)
  • Theresa Noske (2023)
  • Dorota Marie Walecka (2023)
  • George Loustas (2022)
  • Mathis Leemann (2021)
  • Ioannis Pantazos (2021)
  • Linda Bondorf (2018)
  • Andoni Aguirre (2017)

As well as many outstanding Master’s and Bachelor’s students, voluntary research interns, and visiting students who shaped the scientific life of the lab — from liquid marbles and droplet chemotaxis to self-organization phenomena, and laboratory automation.

We are grateful to all of them for their curiosity, creativity, and energy. The Droplet Laboratory is what it is thanks to the people who pass through it.
