Eliška Paulíková Wins Award for Outstanding Master's Thesis!
We are incredibly proud to share that Ing. Eliška Paulíková, a long-standing member of our lab, has been awarded one of the very first Faculty of Chemical Engineering Awards for Outstanding Master's Theses — in the category Mathematics, Computer Science, and Cybernetics. The award was presented during the graduation ceremony held at the Bethlehem Chapel on June 17, 2025.
Eliška’s thesis, titled “Automation of Laboratory Work: Modernization and Extension of Pipetting Robot Functions for Handling Small Objects”, focused on upgrading the EvoBot pipetting robot to perform autonomous object handling using a custom 3D-printed module, QR code recognition, and a user-friendly Python-based GUI. The result is a smart, semi-autonomous robot that can support future automated experimentation.
This is not Eliška’s first success — during her time in our group, she consistently impressed us with her talent, work ethic, and creativity. She participated in the Student Scientific Conference three times — placing first once and second twice, and won the Best Poster Award at SSCHE 2023.
She’s been not only an outstanding student and researcher, but also a wonderful colleague and friend. We’re grateful for all the years she spent in our lab, and she will be truly missed. ❤️
Congratulations, Eliška – and all the best in your next adventure!
