Jitka Named Science Communication Coordinator of TEAR-PRECISION
On 21 October 2025, the COST Action COST Action CA24112 – TEAR-PRECISION (Implementation of Tear Fluid Biomarkers in Precision Medicine) was officially launched at its kick-off meeting in Brussels. Funded by the COST Association – European Cooperation in Science and Technology, the four-year network brings together researchers and clinicians across Europe to advance tear fluid research and its clinical applications.
Jitka has been elected Science Communication Coordinator of the Action and will oversee communication, outreach, and dissemination activities throughout the project’s duration. The network is chaired by Dr. Marlies Gijs (University Eye Clinic Maastricht).
TEAR-PRECISION aims to address key challenges in tear biomarker research, particularly the lack of standardized methodologies for collection, analysis, and reporting. By harmonising best practices and strengthening collaboration between academia, clinics, and industry, the Action seeks to accelerate the translation of tear-based diagnostics into precision medicine.
The project officially starts on 1 November. More information available on the dedicated project website.
